First Track I ever Made

Docboyy Feat Shanrock-Crusades

Back in the day I didnt have any equipment. I use to drive my ass down to Detroit to use Shans MPC at the original Rileys Tavern Studios. I basically traded knowledge of records, breaks, and samples in order to use the studio. This is the first thing I did. I loved it then. Wow does it suck.

cool. When did you make this? Did you just use the mpc for the bass and to trigger samples or did you program the drums with it?

I love sampling but I;ve never really progressed much further than making loops. Fuckin' public school with no music education!

this was about 98ish?

MPC for the loop, the chopping of the snare, and the time stretching on the piano sample on the "chorus"

Later i used the mpc to chop drums.

Man, I was feeling it from the beginning! I can tell why you aren't happy with it, it seems like a sketch. Did you worked with those samples again later?

Umm, yeah, I mean, I love the samples for sure. I love the concept. But the "rough draft" feel of it i dont like. It was something that I never could fix. I still have that record, The Crusaders, and want to use it again. Perhaps that should be a summer project of mine......

Sans the abrupt end I enjoyed it.
