we almost ran over a turtle the other day on lake drive
we pulled over and brought him inside the car with us
so we could bring him over close by reed's lake
a painter turtle also
i wonder if it is the same turtle, one with a wandering spirit

hey man. i throughly enjoy your blog. i heard that you can now blog via your phone w/pictures and that's pretty crazy. i enjoyed the post about the old guy's and their stories as well. pretty sweet stuff.

my mom's secretary found a turtle walking down the side of the road to her nest where there were 4 turtle eggs. the next was pretty much on the shoulder of the road and they would have all gotten squished in short order, so she scooped them all up and brought them to my parents' house. they built a habitat and email us regularly about the eggs, who will hatch around the end of august. yay for saving turtles! they named the mama Carol, after my mom's secretary.

we once had a turtle with only a front right arm and a back left leg. i named him stumpy, and ironically he managed to run away one day when we were letting him roam around the back yard.
