Myself and two others have acquired a space in between the Logan Square and Bucktown neighborhoods in Chicago, a space attached to the Congress Theater.

The space will primarily act as an archive and resource center where we will work collaboratively on different projects. There are many things in the works and I'm more than anxious to share them. Initially, we plan on focusing on new conceptual models for non-profit and for-profit systems to work within the same organizations, or totally defy both of these models all together. I never thought I would be so excited to study tax law/practice.

The space is currently being renovated and we move in on March 1. As part of this space, we will also be maintaining a new website [also currently being constructed], that has taken inspiration from G-RAD, of course -

Pictures of the space and more about the projects soon.

creating ties to a new place... (breaking ties with the old g-rad?)

not at all - in creating this new place, there will be strong ties to G-RAD. i.e. exchange programs

why not just incorporate it into g-rad??

sounds great, ben. i'd like to make a trip to chicago soon and connect with you to see how it's going.

Where will the space fall on the public/private spectrum? will there by exhibits? events? or is it strictly an office/meeting space?

Also, will it be called The Center For Working Things Out?

That could be nice.
