Avenue for the Arts Market-August 9th

The Avenue for the Arts Market, is taking over the S. Division 100 block Saturday, August 9th, 2008. Make sure you don't miss this evening full of art, entertainment and community. The Market will showcase local artists and entertainment, and also encourage people to visit the revitalized Heartside neighborhood, which has so much to offer. This event will offer the public free entertainment and a chance to meet local artists, as well as purchase their unique artwork.

photos, sculptures, vintage clothing, paintings, prints, handmade goods, jewelry, T-Shirts and much more. Last year a break-dancing crew attracted a large crowd outside of Vertigo Music. Yoga instructions, drum circles and live bands have also been featured at the Market. The 2007 Market was comprised of 84 different vendors, 68 entertainers, 10 locally owned businesses, and 1,000 visitors! from 4pm to 9pm every second Saturday of June, July, August and September between Cherry and Weston on Division Avenue. It is the perfect place for shop and entertainment, but also a great opportunity to interact with and support the community on Avenue for the Arts.
