Wealthy St. Bakery
So I am really enjoying that Wealthy St. Bakery. Today I got a green tea and a 1/2 focaccia (sp?) for $2.89. And let me tell you this is the best damn $2.89 I've spent in a while. First the 1/2 slice is HUGE. The tea is TAZO. The staff is friendly.
Also, I've noticed that their bread is ridiculously cheap. It's like $3 or $4 for a 1+ pound loaf of freshly-baked bread. I buy my bread (Brownberry 12-grain, rye, or oatnut) on sale for $2.50. A neat little thing they do is plain bread and cheese. Makes you feel like you're travelling, and it's like a buck and a half.
Try the pain au chocolate (chocolate croissant)--that's yummy too.
The only thing that I don't like about the bakery is that they don't have bagels. Where do people buy local bagels? The Schnitz maybe? But then there's probably no cream cheese. I REALLY wish they had bagels. And possibly lox. THAT might be nice!
I am very intense right now--amphetamines just kicked in. Back to work!

I think I'm going to start making my own bagels. They are boiled. I've done it before. But don't you like stick them in the over later? Is Bagel Beanery local?!
