The Board Meeting will be happening July 2, 7pm at the DAAC. The Facilities and Programming Meetings will happen on Saturday June 28th at 10am and Noon, respectively. As always, last Saturday of the month.

As some of you guys may be aware, a few dudes from a GVSU nonfiction filmmaking class spent the part of last semester filming a documentary on the DAAC. The fruits of their labor, "Heartside Story: A DAACumentary," will be on a display at special FREE screening tomorrow evening at 7:30pm. It looks so intense! The DAAC board meeting will be this Wednesday at 7:00pm at the DAAC! Please note the time change. As always, all are welcome. The Programming meeting will be at noon on May 31st, Saturday (at the DAAC).

Cable Roundup! & Meetings

If you have some working XLR and 1/4" mic and instrument cables that you'd like to donate to the DAAC, please bring them to our meeting at the DAAC on Wednesday May 14th at 9pm. We are also in need of some new speaker cables and a first aid kit, for which we will pitch in $.
Thanks for your continued support and willingness to improve the DAAC! Only one of these cables currently works!!

It is with deepest regrets that we must inform you that Casiotone For The Painfully Alone and Clue To Kalo will not be able to perform tonight (or probably for a little while) because of an emergency medical situation. We think it will be OK, but keep your fingers crossed ok? We certainly wish them the best, but the show must go on! Pattern is Movement is still here to play for us tonight and we are going to try to get another of our local friends to play last minute. does anyone out there want to? let us know. If you already purchased a ticket, you are entitled for a full refund if you like. or you can still come to the show and receive a $3 refund. either way you can come down at show time to receive your refund and/or see the show. feel free to donate the remainder to the DAAC if you so desire. we wouldn't stop you :) Hope to see you tonight in one capacity or another! sincerely, The DAAC

NEW DAAC BOARD ELECTED

As you may have heard the DAAC board was elected in what may have been the most democratic discussion about elections of all time. There will be 17 board members HOWEVER as ALWAYS we would like to encourage everyone at any time to attend meetings. Welcome DAAC Weekend!

The deadline for self-nominations for the DAAC Board have been extended to Welcome DAAC Weekend. If you plan on running, please show up for the public election on March 30th, Sunday, at noon. If you cannot attend, you can submit your nomination the forums. Also, check out these tickets made up special for Welcome DAAC Weekend: You can pick them up in advance from our friends at Vertigo Music down the street. You can get tickets for each day at $8 a piece or a three day pass for only $20!

The DAAC will be, for the first time, officialized by a public election of its board members. If you feel you have something to contribute to the DAAC and would like to be on the board, please submit your self-nomination to this thread. Online nominations should include a brief description of yourself and why you are interested in serving on the DAAC board. Nominations are due by March 20th at noon. Nominees must attend the election meeting on March 30th at NOON. Be prepared to give a brief (under 3 minute) speech as to why you should be on the board. Everyone is strongly encouraged to come and vote. The Election will take place March 30th at noon, at the DAAC as a part of the Welcome DAAC Weekend. A vegan buffet will be happening immediately after this!
