Dejected #1

I once saw this interview with Chris Ware and in it he says something about how there is nothing to keep a person motivated in drawing comics. That is probably true even more so if you can't draw and have no sense of a good story, much like myself. None the less I've been "working" on this mini comic, Dejected #1, for over 6 months, on and off, mostly off and it really isn't turning out so great. Orginally I had planned on making a whole bunch of smaller stories about Eye Glasses, since I love them so much. I got 2 pages into an autobiographical explaination about how I love glasses and how the whole love started and my first trip to the Eye doctor ect... But I scrapped it. It seemed stupid, everyone does that autobiographical stuff I thought, I need to be more orginal. So I came up with this idea about a nearsighted godzilla type monster. And i'm about 3 pages into that one, and i kind of hate it. When I was doing the sequential art society i enjoyed putting the books together more that i enjoyed my comics in them. Probably because my comics were so horrible. Anyway i've kind of commited myself to finishing Dejected #1 at some point, it's just so hard to get myself motivated.

At least you started, I always have ideas for comics but never start drawing. I have a great idea for one about the Mormon Jesus and his brother Lucifer, I think it will be called, Youth Group
