Has anyone else seen this tag before? There are a few, on wealthy mostly. It's ugly. I don't mean to offend anyone, especially if this is the project of a g-radder, but it's really bad. I, like most people of our paticular generation, political, and personal associations, like "street art" a lot. I find that in many cases street art can beautify an area destroyed by urban decay. It can in many cases help you feel more comfortable in unfamiliar place, you see a stencil of R2D2 and you know that out there somewhere is a person you can relate to. This "tag" though is just a really ugly design. Whats with the saw toothed G? And they arrow, whatcha pointin at pal? Not to mention that is GRR, our airport and train station codes, this person is essentially saying that they represent Grand Rapids. I think their intentions are noble. My suggestion though, practice behind strip malls, until you find a more attractive design, then resurface.

maybe your right, it could be an e. though it's still really ugly.

The E (or G) is too derivative of the Wu-Tang clan. And that ain't nothing to fuck with.

we should have a counter tag.
'raise your sword, bitch.'
im sick that they went over that somerdyke sign. mostly because they went over it with something both useless and pedestrian.

There in on on the utility box at the corner of lafayette and wealthy now. did this guy read this, and put it there on purpose, just to soil our neighborhood. Who is this guy?

i hear you emily, in high school the tag i made up and drew in notebooks was, nigel. you know cause it's a funny name. How stupid i was.

i've seen it everywhere. it was on jefferson next to the catholic social services building but was painted over. this is also where the giant wu tang symbol was. i took a picture of it by the blue bridge near urban mill. next to it was painted:
"practice(ing)" and an arrow pointing to the figure.
the G/E/inverted Wu logo is really hard to understand. it makes no sense. this person is wasting our/his time.

Yeah this person has really been messing the place up. I mean like i said i like street art, i think it can actually be a good thing. but this guy has no ethics. he's painting over historical signage, like george mentioned, now when that tag gets buffed that old hand painted sign is gonna get buffed too.
