SPREEPARK/SPRING
MARCH 24, 2006 8:35 AM

Spring is coming I can feel it

..........Spreepark 6............

I finally got a chance to go to the abandoned Spreepark. Breaking in isn't as hard as those people who say they were mauled by dogs after they jumped over the fence make it sound. In fact, I recommend it as the perfect destination for early springtime sunday daytrips. Afterwards you can drink Glühwein with the old men at the pier, and have a peek at the Soviet War Memorial, (soviet war heroes, will not be forgotten), while you are in the area.

I will be guarding art works at the 4th berlin biennale at auguststraße for the next 8 weeks. it's a very boring job and i invite everyone who happens to be in the country warmly to pay me a visit at the former Jewish girls school. Most of the pieces are really worth seeing too. Don't come if you allergic to black mold.

you should link to the whole set. i am really jealous of stuff like this.

so much of berlin seems like an abandoned theme park.

it's true, the biennale has a lot of that abandoned theme park feeling as well. i work in a former school that has been empty and unused since 1994. the curators left most of the interior untouched, including the dust and the black mold. come to think about it, august straße is a lot like division ave!

when are you coming to visit?
