just a hippie at heart

on my way back from our road trip i stopped by berkeley once again for one last hurrah before heading back to the big city of LA.

a friend of mine was in berekley about a week after i was.... he says there were no protests. well there was one between the school & the oak trees!

the school wants to build a huge new sports facitlity that costs mucho dinero where there are giant oak trees and a fault line... so it's unstable ground anyways. i really wanted to see this and the "berkeley tree people" so my friend brian and i went to check it out.

the source of the dilemma...

the people living in the trees...

money vs nature

come on berkeley get smart! the trees need to be saved... build on top of a fault line?? not a smart move i say....

also you can read about it more here.

a good friend of mine lives in berkeley. he said that treepeople-taunters get barraged with human feces. guerilla (or gorilla?) warfare!
