"It is with much embarrassment that I have returned alive"
I was flipping through a Year Book Encyclopedia from 1972 when I found an intriguing picture of a thin Japanese man crying in a wheel chair. The man was Yokoi Shoichi, a Japanese soldier form WWII who hid in the jungle in Guam rather than surrender, and stayed there for 28 years. My favorite part about the encyclopedia story (that's not in the Wikipedia one) is that he told reporters, "I'd like to be reunited with my family and then go up on a mountain and meditate for a long time."

New Digs!
At long last, I have found employment. I'll be working at 106 South Division, manning Calvin's art gallery on the main floor. In addition to normal gallery work, I also get a studio in the basement! Which I can use while working! As long as I don't have other business to attend to. This is really great for me. It's been in the works for about seven months now. For a while I thought the position wasn't going to happen. I was wrong!

My new home. I've barely begun setting up the studio. Hopefully I can get a few temporary walls soon.
And about the gallery... There are a few small empty slots in the schedule, some coming very soon. Any G-RADders have a good idea for a show? Let me know.
