Proving YET AGAIN that he enjoys blue chips over the saltier, more potatoey variety, Anthony takes a break from his chicken pesto panini to look over his stocks during the first of many yuppie lonches at Four Friends coffee shop on the former monroe mall. First of many in the sense that we plan do do this a lot, but not neccessarily at Four Friends all the time. yuppie lonches!

all you can eat buffet @ the downtown campus university club.

i guess something like this happens every week on main campus, but only twice a summer here downtown. pretty good, but the chicken made me a little nauseous - but eating chicken off the bone always makes me a little nauseous.

menu:

Pasta Prema
Penne with Olive Oil & Pesto

Summer Squash Proveneal
Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Mushrooms, Garlic, Tomatoes & Olives

Marinated Summer Vegetables
Red Peppers, Asparagus & Red Onions

Rosemary Roasted Chicken

and for desert? this weird kind of coffee/rum tasting cake. the frosting was very excellent.

thoughts while eating alone in the U Club:

why was this $7.00? my boss (the one i really like) said that if university food cost this much in his home country there would be a student riot in the street. then he recommended that i light a tire on fire in the middle of the "thing." the "thing" in this case meaning the atrium. it was a joke, but i like this guy a lot.

would i have been happier at this university if it had not sold out and remained the Evergreen of the midwest? had it not, i would definitely be eating this meal in Allendale. and it would probably be hippie food. granola or something... Discuss!
