I got this cool old record somewhere. I have tried to do some investigation about the old radio station but there isn't a ton on the internet. Apparently, it was a black-owned soul and R&B radio station in Detroit on the am dial. Now it is a talk radio station with a lot of nationally syndecated shows hosted by black radio/media personalities. Al Shaprton is on this station! Al Sharpton used to hang out with James Brown.
Yep WCHB was in Inkster MI. Owned bu Bell Broadcasting they sold it to Radio one several years ago. I am working on a book about the Detroit Soul Radio station.
