I started a compost pile today. Im not really sure what Im doing though. right now I've got leaves, potato peals, some coffee grounds, and some onion. If anyone has any tips of how to make a more efficient pile let me know. Still havn't found a site as of yet but the we eastowners are looking.

I'm not sure, but I always thought compost took a long time to decompose into useable soil...like a year or two. That sounds like a good mixture of stuff though.

I have started nursing a plant back to life that was dying in my house. Hopefully it can be transplanted to our site and eventually look good!!

Hey Isaac,
i have a vast quantity of compost at my house. We've been saving it up all winter, so you are more than welcome to have some. Coffee grounds work well.

hey, the sink in the sculpture studio is becoming a compost pile---there are still some veggie peels and other "stuff" in the sink from that first project...i think i saw some onions....that would probly work pretty well for compost since its have rotten already.
