This week Wednesday is BUSY!!! Getting over the middle of the week doldrums will not be a problem……. So TONIGHT…..
Wednesday November 30th 7:30pm -10:30 ish
****There have been a few changes in the lineup at the DAAC tonight but it is still Open Door night at the DAAC and it is Free, Free, Free……
If I didn’t mention it already, this is the last chance to see...............

In between bands there will be a bit of poetry from Joe the Cab Driver.
*Semi Causual Bedtime is going to play from 9ish until 945ish and then
*Oni Gosen may make a special appearance around 10:00
SO If these are bands that you have always wanted to hear or if you didn’t get a chance to see blame’s stuff yet head down and check it out……Additionally, if you are interested in finding out more about the DAAC Wednesday night will be the perfect opportunity, Jenn and other DAAC Members will be on hand answering questions about how we operated and how to become a member…..
So after you are done at the DAAC you could check out Ideal Collective’s Winter Solstice Soiree…. I think I forgot to mention it but I checked out their gig at Mezze two weeks ago was pretty cool I wish I had a camera… the food was good the crowd was pretty dynamic… Bliss’s designs were awesome… I really like them.. I think it was a bit difficult to see the art being created and it would have been nice if food and art were happening at the same time… It was nice to see Mezze hosting this kind of event…. It made me happy….
So this week Ideal is hosing their newest deal and this one is a bit more laid back. The Winter Solstice Soiree starts at 7:30 and they are having music, no cover, pretty much just hanging out checking out some art work…
1111 Godfrey Avenue
Corner of Godfrey and Curve
And then Guess What?
It is December!!!!!!!
So kick off this month with a bit of awareness…..
Thursday December 1st form noon until 8 pm The Downtown GVSU campus’s Loosemore Auditorium. is hosting Artists Express World Aids Day this is the third year that this event has happened and it will be the third year that I have checked it out….. I think it is far to seldom that artists are asked to portray the dark side of things and that is what Shack (The Sexual Health Awareness Coalition Of Kent County) asked artists to do So come and check it out… The event is also educational so it is run is like an open house with art, an advocacy activity, an interactive art area, and HIV/AIDS resources.
This Thursday night you can catch "Nobodys Darlin" from 8-11pm. At the One Trick Pony…. Get dinner chill out catch some music… I like One Trick’s Spinach Dip.. warm… they have great crackers….. and I also had a great bowl of soup the last time I was there….. Nobodys Darlin is pretty cool too if you haven’t seen them around town tonight is the night
On Friday December 2, a band I love, Cabildo, will be playing live at Rocky's at 10 pm, it is a 5$ cover…. I love Cabildo and I have no idea what they are saying, but the have great music you can’t help but love them… Rocky’s is a cool place to chill it is a lot like logans on Michigan but with a bit more wood, and I think they have a few less beer on tap, however it is definitely the type of bar you can belly up to…Cabildo should have Rocky’s totally packed so get there early..…
