I was up so Bright and Early this morning that it was only early and it took about an hour before it became bright! HOW did THAT happen.... I guess I was just SO excited and was trying to jump start my weekend! Hopefully you find just as many cool things to do this weekend as I have!

The GRAM is sneaking out onto the streets on Friday with a few different attractions. The Groove Merchant is playing beginning at 5pm at 7pm Chris Randall wit talk about the Art of Cinema and a bit of behind the scenes look at special effects. From 7:45 till later there will be dancing in the ecliptic and the galleries stay open until 9pm and at 10pm they are going to be showing Jurassic Park, outside, for free!

Mixtape Acoustic Cafe: is going to be hosting a whole bunch of bands including "The Hard lessons" from d-town, The Ropes, Ryan Nelson, The Powerlines, Paul Teft and Sam Casares. The cost is $10 the day of and this show is ALLAGES!

If you are looking for a nearby "get away " this weekend then Cowpie Blues Festival Sounds like it might be just the ticket. Just a hop, jump and a skip form downtown (in Caledonia) there is a hot mess of bands playing strating at 6:30 on Friday and then at 11:30 on Saturday. Saturday evening head down to the Avenue for the Arts on S. Division between Weston and Williams for the August Avenue for the Arts Market! And we expect somewhere between 30 and 50 vendors!)
