hairy bikes
while riding my bike towards a delicious falafel dinner, my chain broke. i was bummed. so i kind of scootered around. my falafel was delicious. i couldnt finish it tho. i finished the hummus. i had a cup of soda for the first time in months. root beer. i finished it. then i scootered back to my room.
i also shaved my head. no more hair. started last night and finished this morning. it hurt a lot. especially after i ran out of shaving cream. went through 3 single bladed razers and a lot of blood
before all this happened i had a religious experience.
i had a gig last night. electric bass. one song for a talent show put on by the msu black caucus. the song was an r&b rap shit collage. but it paid. 200 hundredish people in a small auditorium dancing and singing along to top 40. in the room next door some sort of new age evangelical church service. after i played i went in and watched the people in this service. totally fucked. 4 or 5 "preachers" standing in the front and the congregation was going up to pray with the leaders one at a time. the leaders would take a person's hands or take their head and just talk to them. my favorite was when one of them said "you are a useless without jesus". people crying, falling to their knees, spitting out gibberish, flailing their arms. the whole time there was a keyboardist playing super cheesy music in the back ground. it was a sight to behold. im going back with a tape recorder.
