lansing is questionable.
sometimes or a fourth of july couple days spent in the grandest city on earth for some bike rides and house shows and good cookins. all led out of a painfully long hurting bike ride from grand rapids and a nice one man picnic in portland straight into some loving hiphop spinning and hilariously awful live work but wait THIS COMES NEXT.
"hey guys lets just go back to my house and ..."DELAY DELAY errr DETOUR. TO the Party store. ok i watch bikes you get what needs.
(here it comes)
i sat outside the store waiting for ayjay/ben,,, just minding my own business playing around. i see this woman kind of stumbling towards the store giving me a weird look.
i LOOOOk away. but yes. she gets over to me and shes a starin. so i look at her. she is a young lady 20s maybe a little bit bigger than most wearing a basketball jersey and cargo shorts.
BACK.
we look at each other.
she says something that catches me off guard and i dont really understand or hear but it sounds like:
"NICEPOSENINJA"
then she takes my hand and puts 35 cents in. goes to the door and tries to push open a puller. so i laugh and vocally help.

stay safe. stay on the road.

yep finally got hit today. riding on a bike path of course.. because i wanted to take a nice easy boring ride to the cascade library. cruising along coming to an intersection.. ive got the green light to cross and the right of way and heyo traffic is a waitin at the red light to turn on to cascade giving me plenty of room to cross the street.
until im about five feet from the intersection and mrs foerster decides to go ahead and make that right turn on red and let me get intimate with the side of her suv.
but she was nice and more shaken than me i think.
gave me a ride home then to the police station to file a report as i went to the emergency room in fear of a broken femur which turned out to not be broken at all just REALLY swollen and nasty and black and blue and hurty = a bit of time on the crutches (and not on my bike :( ) and a pretty much useless right leg.
bummer.
but hey! i have a fresh prescription of vicodin if anyone wants to buy! (JOKE)
but really yeah i do ha. but not for sale you silly heads. that shit is going in the shredder. FUCK YOU TOO VICODIN.

Debuting April 18th at the new downtown studio, 'Music and Movement', (right across the street from Vertigo Music and Skelletones) is the most exciting jazz project coming out of Grand Rapids today. Spearheaded by saxophonist Corey Ruffin (End Times Orchestra, Super Happy Funtime Burlesque, the 'Is It Over Yet' music festival) and trumpeter Chris Lawrence (Cab Calloway Orchestra, Aaron Neville, Swing Shift Orchestra) with Sam Snedeker on double bass and Brandon Hill on drums; 'Free the Jazz' is devoted to progressive and experimental forms just as much as it is based in thick grooves and modern stylings. Come see this hot new quartet at their debut as part of the April 18th Division Avenue arts walk at the new studio 'Music and Movement' located directly across the street from Vertigo Music and Skelletones.
