PREACH IT, BROTHER!

Here are some talks that speak to the issue of animal compassion from a Christian perspective.

MP3: "Living Toward the Peaceable Kingdom"

MP3: "Animal Rights & Christian Responsibility"

Notes: "Compassionate Eating as Care of Creation"
Notes: "Animal Rights and Christian Responsibility"

Word on the street is that animal agribusiness is really worried about rising opposition from religious groups. Someone should let them know about these talks and invite a response.

"Rising opposition"? I don't seem much of it. Maybe you could post some sources on that to give some numbers and some actions. I am interested in knowing more about it if there is a rising opposition of any significance within the Christian fold especially.

On another note, I know of at least 6 Christians, who recently decided to become vegetarian (a few vegans and one person is making his dog eat vegetarian too). This just within the past few months. My wife and I, long time vegetarians, decided to give up on dairy and eggs as well after attending you conference. So I think there is fertile ground in Christianity to move people to compassion and a change in eating. We need more people to do the educational work.

It would be interesting to have a conference revolving around training people to educate others on this issue. Like Al Gore, training people to give his Inconv. Truth speech, we could set up something similar and train the already convinced to convince yet more people. It woudl take the burden off of yourself and others who have to travel vast amounts of miles just to do this work.

just an idea....
