more like a "crapple"....

I should have done some research before buying. I just ate a grapple. I was excited at first, an apple that tastes like a GRAPE! Lindsay and I discussed it wondering how they genetically altered and apple to taste like a grape. There was no genetics involved. A Grapple is a Fuji apple soaked in grape juice for a few days. Not too amazing, especially not a $1.00 each amazing.

Grapple = A Waste of $4.00

Not much of an experience. You could make these at home:

You'll need some apples, 1 bucket, and artificial grape flavoring. Now, soak the apples in the bucket full of grape flavoring and enjoy! The only part that will taste grape is the skin. It will remind you of medicince, but the apple taste will neutralize it making it taste decent.

I had the exact same experience about a year ago! Genetically altered food scares me a little, but I was so intrigued. It was like a those phospherescent mice, only tasty. Much to my dissapointment, no genetic alteration. And they were so gross. It wasn't even real grape juice, just sick grape candy flavor on meely apples.

Personally, I loved the experience. Ok, I was a little disappointed, and it is definitely not worth $4 but it's a twist on an old favorite. The only way I can describe the flavor is if you let grape juice concentrate sit out for awhile so that it turned crusty and then you could chew on it. Yum!
