The History Of My Hair: Long Pretty Hair Pt. 2

I grew my hair out the summer before my Sophomore year. It wasn't quite the monster pictured, but it was long. I remember the first day of school sophomore year, everyone laughed at me on my bus (Long hair was pretty new then...at least to the kids in my high school. Later in my senior year, one of the kids who first laughed at me gave me credit for bringing long hair to the high school). I kept it long til...I think last year! The picture above is our family christmas picture my junior year (Notice the Bibles? My brother and I thought it would be hilarious). This was the longest it ever got. During this time I was mistaken for a woman numerous times at Target (where I worked).

"Excuse me Ma'am? OH GOSH! I'm sorry, i thought you were a!" "Haha, it's okay."

I grew very attached to the long hair, but eventually I knew it was time to let go.

Both of these haircuts scare me, but not as much as those bibles do.

It took me a while to get over people calling me Miss/Ma'am when I had long hair.

I think the hair grew attached to you!

you and your brother were right!
people used to think I was a woman when I had long hair too. This old lady was giving out Oreo's at Meijer and said something about me being a girl and she never figured out I was a boy. That one was odd.
