Shaking

So, we have guinea pigs living with us. They're not supposed to be here.
I was sitting in my room and I hear the doorbell ring. I answer it,
"Hi, do you mind if we show the place, potential buyers"
"uh...sure."
For some reason I thought it was just a Mom and Dad, with their daughter. Then, I realized this wasn't the woman's husband, but an employee. Now I'm worried.
"This is the kitchen, the laundry room, living room. blah blah." he explains
"Oh, It's nice," says the woman.
She turns around and looks at me. I have no idea what my face looked like, my heart is racing.
"We forgot to take our shoes off!" she says. (Ha, you're shoes aren't the reason my roommates are going to have to replace the carpet.)
"Oh, it's okay," I say
They start heading back towards the door. At this point, I calm down a bit. He tells them some more things that I don't pay attention to. Then she asks something about the four bedrooms upstairs. Upstairs is where the Guinea Pigs live, right in the hallway between all of our rooms. Now, I'm nervous again. They start talking about what's upstairs. The woman and her daughter mention another one of the townhouses and how they're very similar. I add that they're pretty standard bedrooms.
The man looks at me, "Do you mind if we check out the upstairs?"
CRAP. CRAP. CRAP. CRAP.
"Umm, they're kind of messy,", I shrug.
"Oh, that's fine. We don't need to see them," the woman chimes in.
YES! Goodbye!
The man seemed slightly suspicious as he walked out.
